Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional critical care to ICU patients, monitoring their conditions closely and responding promptly to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and life-saving treatments with precision and compassion
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and their families, offering support and guidance during challenging times
• Document patient progress meticulously, ensuring accurate and up-to-date medical records
• Jump into action during emergencies, stabilizing patients and providing life-saving interventions

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Iowa or a compact state license
• BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications are required
• Previous ICU experience is highly valued
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
• Completion of specialty competency testing and skills checklist
• Proof of vaccinations and health screenings (including TB, Tdap, MMR, varicella, flu, and COVID-19)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and the ability to make quick, informed decisions
• Expertise in ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring
• Proficiency in interpreting cardiac rhythms and ECG
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and comforting patients
• Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
