Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care for labor and delivery patients
• Monitor maternal and fetal status using AWHONN fetal heart monitoring techniques
• Assist with labor, delivery, and immediate newborn care
• Collaborate with obstetricians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe outcomes
• Educate and support families throughout the childbirth experience
• Respond quickly and effectively to obstetric emergencies

Qualifications

• Active RN license with license verification required
• Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications
• Completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
• Ability to meet personal health requirements including vaccinations, fit test, physical, and 10-panel drug screen

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in fetal monitoring interpretation and AWHONN guidelines
• Knowledgeable in labor support, delivery assistance, and postpartum care
• Strong critical thinking and triage skills for high-risk obstetrics
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
