Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct nursing care to residents as an LPN, focusing on safety and dignity
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document per facility policy
• Communicate clearly with interdisciplinary team members and families about resident needs
• Perform assessments and report changes in condition promptly to ensure timely interventions
• Support care planning and participate in care conferences to help improve outcomes
• Maintain clinical documentation and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing (Maine license preferred or compact/reciprocity where applicable)
• Minimum experience as an LPN in long-term care or similar settings preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required
• Reliable transportation required — facility notes that rideshare is not consistently dependable
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• LPN diploma or equivalent from an accredited program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medication administration, wound care basics, and resident assessments
• Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting care thoroughly
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy evening shift and respond calmly in urgent situations
• Knowledge of infection prevention, safety standards, and long-term care best practices
• Compassionate bedside manner with strong observational skills
