Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the daily operations of the Sterile Processing department with confidence and care
- Expertly operate and maintain washers, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment
- Assemble and sterilize surgical instruments and procedural trays for multiple departments
- Verify instrument accuracy and document any missing items with precision
- Ensure every instrument meets quality standards before it reaches the operating room
- Maintain detailed sterilization records and test results for compliance and safety
- Collaborate closely with OR teams to support seamless surgical procedures
- Keep your workspace organized and contribute ideas for continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Active CRCST certification required
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification
- At least 1 year of sterile processing experience
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterilization processes
Knowledge & Skills
- Sterile Processing and instrument sterilization techniques
- Operation of washers, autoclaves, and sterilization equipment
- Surgical instrumentation identification and maintenance
- Accurate documentation and record-keeping
- Clear communication with surgical teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
