Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Day shift 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM with on-call evenings, weekends and holidays

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms with precision for life-saving heart procedures
Assist surgeons during complex CVOR cases like CABG, AVR and TAVR
Maintain sterile field to ensure patient safety in high-stakes surgeries
Collaborate with heart team on innovative procedures including LVAD and ECMO
Respond swiftly to on-call needs, making a real difference around the clock

Qualifications

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST/ORT) with 2+ years experience
BLS certification required
Previous travel experience on heart teams strongly preferred
Ability to live within 30 minutes of facility for rapid call response

Education

Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR procedures including valve repairs and aortic dissections
Proficient with Meditech documentation system
Strong sterile technique and OR equipment handling
Adaptable to fast-paced heart surgery environment
Team player who thrives independently
