Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to patients during assigned shift hours
• Assess, monitor and document patient conditions accurately and promptly
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications and follow-up instructions
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety and facility protocols
• Hand off clear, concise shift reports to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — California licensure preferred or required for assignment
• Minimum clinical experience as an RN (per diem roles welcome for experienced RNs)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS/PALS as applicable or preferred
• Current immunizations and ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently on per diem assignments

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent (for support of licensure requirements)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Medication administration and documentation accuracy
• Patient education and family-centered care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
• Time management, prioritization, and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Professionalism and adherence to facility policies and regulatory standards
