Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Support safe patient transfers and use proper body mechanics
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
- Document care in charts or electronic records clearly and timely
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team to promote patient comfort
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Valid state CNA credential for California
- Current basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Completed CNA training program and active CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic nursing and patient care procedures
- Comfortable taking and recording vital signs and observations
- Familiarity with infection control and safe patient handling
- Good time management and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Clear, compassionate communication with patients and team members
- Basic documentation skills for patient charts and electronic records
