Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and recognize rhythm changes early
• Assess patients regularly and implement nursing interventions with confidence
• Administer medications and document care accurately in the electronic health record
• Communicate clearly with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members
• Provide compassionate patient and family education about cardiac care and recovery
• Escalate clinical changes promptly to ensure timely interventions and safety

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact licensure where applicable)
• Telemetry experience or comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
• Current immunizations and TB screening per facility policy
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of accredited nursing program and passage of NCLEX-RN

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in telemetry rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring best practices
• Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Patient assessment, escalation, and hand-off communication skills
• Ability to work efficiently on day shifts and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care
