Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and promptly communicate changes in patient condition
• Deliver safe, compassionate nursing care including medication administration and IV therapy
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Provide patient and family education focused on cardiac health and discharge planning
• Maintain unit standards for infection control, safety, and regulatory compliance

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in California
• Telemetry experience required; prior telemetry unit experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem shifts and adapt quickly to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV management
• Comfortable using electronic health record systems for documentation
• Solid knowledge of patient safety practices and infection prevention
• Team-oriented attitude with effective communication skills
