Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care with dignity and respect
- Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes promptly
- Support the nursing team by following care plans and documenting care delivered
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for patients
- Communicate clearly and kindly with patients, families, and the care team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Ability to work per diem shifts and adapt to varying schedules
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort with physical aspects of patient care and safe patient handling
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential
Knowledge & Skills
- Practical knowledge of patient hygiene, mobility assistance, and ADLs
- Comfort taking and documenting vital signs and patient observations
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns to nursing staff
- Compassionate bedside manner and patient-centered communication
