Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and students, helping with activities of daily living
• Support health screening and routine care in a school health setting with professionalism and care
• Accurately document patient observations, interventions, and responses in a timely manner
• Assist licensed nurses and other clinicians with treatments and procedures as directed
• Communicate clearly and kindly with students, families, and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care
• Promote a safe, clean environment and follow infection control and safety protocols

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (required)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (preferred or required based on site)
• Valid authorization to work in California and ability to meet state CNA requirements
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required for school settings
• Reliable transportation and punctuality for per-diem shift coverage
• Previous experience working as a CNA or in school/child health settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an approved CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and knowledge of activities of daily living
• Comfortable with documentation and electronic charting basics
• Knowledge of infection control standards and universal precautions
• Good communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and prioritize safety
