Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and help with activities of daily living
Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding and mobility support in a respectful manner
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
Document care accurately and timely in the patient chart
Collaborate with nurses and other care staff to support patient comfort and safety
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Support emergency response and follow facility policies during critical events

Qualifications

Active CNA certification valid for practice in California
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
Up-to-date immunizations and TB screening as required by facility
Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Education

High school diploma or GED
Current CNA certificate/license

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamental nursing assistant skills and safe patient handling
Basic vital sign assessment and reporting
Infection control practices and use of PPE
Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic charting
Teamwork, time management, and clear patient communication
Ability to work independently on overnight shifts
