Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate basic patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs, reporting concerning changes to the nursing team promptly
• Assist with safe patient transfers, positioning, and mobility support
• Maintain clean, comfortable patient environments and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Document patient interactions and care activities accurately in charts and handoffs

Qualifications

• Valid CNA certification in the state of California
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing direct patient care
• Strong observational skills and dependable communication
• Previous CNA experience preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient bathing, grooming, feeding, and toileting assistance
• Taking and recording vitals and observational assessments
• Understanding of basic infection prevention and safety procedures
• Safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Basic charting and familiarity with electronic medical records or willingness to learn
• Teamwork, empathy, and good verbal communication skills
