Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to arrhythmias
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to orders
• Communicate clearly with physicians and the interdisciplinary team about patient status
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EHR
• Assist in emergency situations and escalate concerns appropriately
• Educate patients and families about condition, medications, and follow-up care

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license (California) — required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification — required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — preferred
• Prior telemetry nursing experience or strong comfort with cardiac monitoring
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently on per diem night shifts and adapt to unit needs

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred or equivalent experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and post-procedure care
• Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
• Ability to triage, prioritize, and respond in fast-paced situations
• Team-oriented mindset with strong patient advocacy skills
