Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms vigilantly to ensure patient safety
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following established protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and transitions
• Respond quickly and effectively to clinical changes and emergencies
• Document patient status, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
• Provide compassionate education and support to patients and their families

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (license/certificate verification required)
• Experience in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications listed and preferred
• Completion of facility-specific competency testing (Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist)
• Ability to pass required health screenings: immunizations, 2-step PPD or IGRA, drug screen, fit test, and physical/health statement

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and interpretation skills
• Solid foundation in medical-surgical nursing principles
• Proficient clinical assessment and critical thinking
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced settings
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining patient-centered care
