Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 3 12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, including 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver compassionate care to trauma med/surg patients on a 34-bed unit
Prioritize and multitask effectively in a 6:1 patient ratio environment
Start IVs, manage wounds, drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes with precision
Build personal connections through bedside shift reports and family involvement
Collaborate with tech support and unit secretaries for seamless teamwork
Float rotationally to support hospital needs while mastering new challenges

Qualifications

Active RN license in good standing
BLS certification
At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
Comfortable in a fast-paced trauma environment

Education

RN licensure required

Knowledge & Skills

Med/Surg expertise with ability to prioritize care
Proficient in IV starts, basic wound care, surgical drains, NG tubes, and chest tubes
Familiarity with telemetry, IV pumps, PCA, feeding pumps, and Meditech documentation
Strong multitasking and patient connection skills
