Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, rotating/coverage every other week and holidays (overnight 12.5-hour nights)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver expert bedside care to cardiology and stroke patients, including titration and monitoring of cardiac drips
- Assess and monitor patients continuously — interpret telemetry and intervene early when changes occur
- Administer medications (including amiodarone and diltiazem) safely and document accurately
- Perform NIHSS assessments and participate in stroke protocols to optimize patient outcomes
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and update patient care plans
- Provide clear education and compassionate communication to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Complete required Trinity competency testing and checklist items to maintain unit standards
Qualifications
- Active RN licensure (state license required) — must be in good standing
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (required)
- Proven experience caring for stroke patients and using NIHSS
- Hands-on experience with cardiac drips such as amiodarone and diltiazem/cardizem
- Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Skills Checklist
- Ability to pass respirator fit testing and Trinity 10 Panel Drug Screen
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as listed (Tdap, COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, PPD/IGRA, physical/health statement)
Knowledge & Skills
- In-depth knowledge of cardiac drip titration and safety
- Skilled in stroke assessment (NIHSS) and acute stroke care pathways
- Strong telemetry interpretation and critical-thinking skills
- Proficient medication administration and documentation practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork in high-acuity settings
- Familiarity with hospital competency testing and regulatory requirements
