Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes
• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to adult patients
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and safety protocols
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Escalate urgent concerns and participate in effective handoffs for continuity of care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Comfortable and experienced with telemetry monitoring
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong assessment, clinical judgment, and communication skills
• Prior acute care or telemetry unit experience preferred

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry rhythm interpretation and cardiac monitoring best practices
• Patient assessment, IV medication administration, and post-procedural care
• Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation and charting accuracy
• Infection control standards, safety protocols, and medication administration
• Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work well under pressure overnight
