Shift Type: Thursday, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Day, per-diem single-day assignment)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
  • Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and act promptly on abnormal findings
  • Perform thorough assessments and document changes in patient condition clearly
  • Collaborate with physicians, techs, and interdisciplinary team members to implement care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments safely, following protocols and policies
  • Educate patients and families about conditions, telemetry findings, and discharge planning

Qualifications

  • Current RN license valid in California
  • Telemetry experience preferred — comfort interpreting cardiac rhythms a plus
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS encouraged or supported
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Comfortable using electronic health records and documenting accurately
  • Professional, reliable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced acute care setting

Education

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (ASN/BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
  • Patient assessment and vital signs interpretation
  • Medication administration and IV therapy fundamentals
  • Electronic health record charting and documentation best practices
  • Clear communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Time management and prioritization on a 12-hour shift
