Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry strips to identify changes quickly
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a telemetry unit
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to optimize care plans
• Respond to acute changes and escalate concerns following facility protocols
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the electronic health record
• Adhere to infection control practices and safety standards at all times

Qualifications

• Current RN license valid in the state of California
• Telemetry experience or comfort with continuous cardiac monitoring
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Ability to work per-diem shifts and remain flexible with scheduling
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize
• Proof of required immunizations and background checks as per facility policy

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency reading and interpreting telemetry rhythms
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic health record charting
• Critical thinking and rapid assessment in acute situations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Basic EKG recognition and documentation practices
