Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients
• Continuously monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly address abnormal rhythms
• Assess patient condition regularly and implement appropriate nursing interventions
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge needs
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EHR
• Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations and code events

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Clinical experience in telemetry nursing or progressive care preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Comfortable working overnight 12-hour shifts and managing telemetry alarms
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Up-to-date immunizations and compliance with facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition
• Skilled in patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Experience with Electronic Health Records documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Familiarity with hospital policies related to patient safety and infection control
