Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and identify changes in rhythm promptly
- Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
- Perform thorough assessments and respond to patient condition changes
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
- Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
- Participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives to improve outcomes
Qualifications
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Telemetry experience required; comfortable with continuous cardiac monitoring
- BLS required; ACLS preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) — BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm recognition
- Medication administration and IV therapy
- Patient assessment and critical thinking
- Accurate clinical documentation in an EHR
- Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
