Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care to assigned patients
  • Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, respond quickly to rhythm changes
  • Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to orders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
  • Educate patients and families about condition management and post-discharge care
  • Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress in the medical record clearly and timely

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license for California (or compact state eligibility as applicable)
  • Experience in telemetry nursing or other acute care cardiac monitoring preferred
  • Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required by facility
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work per diem shifts, adapt quickly, and integrate with established teams

Education

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring
  • Skilled in IV therapy, medication administration, and acute patient assessment
  • Familiarity with EMR charting and clinical documentation best practices
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills
  • Capability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced acute care setting
  • Team-oriented approach with strong collaboration skills
