Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered telemetry nursing care on assigned shifts
• Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret data to detect and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely and document care accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, multidisciplinary team members, and families to develop and implement care plans
• Perform focused assessments and escalate concerns in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California required
• Telemetry experience or familiarity with cardiac monitoring preferred
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to work independently on per diem assignments and adapt to varying unit needs

Education

• Active RN license (required)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in cardiac telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Skilled in medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Comfortable working in fast-paced acute care settings
• Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams
