Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide patient-centered nursing care on telemetry units with calm, skilled attention
Monitor cardiac rhythms and telemetry alarms, interpreting and escalating changes
Administer medications and IV therapies safely and accurately
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate timely, effective care
Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR thoroughly
Respond to changes in patient condition and assist with interventions and transfers
Educate patients and families about condition, treatment plans, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (must be current)
Telemetry experience or comfort working with continuous cardiac monitoring
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work overnight shifts and adapt to per-diem scheduling

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with telemetry monitoring systems and alarm management
Cardiac rhythm recognition and response
Proficient in medication administration and IV therapy
Effective communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
Comfortable with electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
