Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient condition to ensure safe, high-quality care
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and on schedule
- Document patient care clearly and promptly in the medical record
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
- Provide compassionate patient and family education and support
- Respond to patient needs and changes in condition during overnight shifts
Qualifications
- Current active Registered Nurse license (Maine license or compact where applicable)
- Current BLS certification from an accredited provider
- Comfort and experience working overnight 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar clinical settings preferred
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN, ADN, or BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation
- Basic life support and emergency response
- Infection control best practices
- Clear communication with patients, families, and clinical teams
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and charting
