Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for assigned residents
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor, assess, and document changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to create and follow care plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, medications, and follow-up
• Respond effectively to urgent situations and escalate concerns as needed
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and handoff reports

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Maine
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; advanced certifications a plus
• Comfortable working per diem night shifts and adapting to varied schedules
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Compassionate communicator who works well with patients, families, and team members

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and monitoring skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy competency
• Familiarity with electronic health record documentation
• Infection control and patient safety practices
• Ability to prioritize, triage, and manage time during busy night shifts
