Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient condition to provide safe, personalized care
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document them promptly
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to support care plans
• Perform clinical procedures such as wound care and IV management when needed
• Educate patients and families with clear, compassionate communication
• Maintain accurate electronic health record documentation and handoffs
• Respond to emergencies calmly and follow facility protocols
• Champion patient safety and infection control practices every shift

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license in Maine (or compact license accepted where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred where applicable
• Previous clinical nursing experience preferred; experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; equivalent nursing education considered

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and documentation proficiency
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting best practices
• Wound care, IV therapy, and basic procedures knowledge
• Infection control, safety standards, and regulatory awareness
• Team-oriented mindset with good communication and prioritization
