Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to oncology and trauma patients on a 28-bed PCU/Med-Surg unit
• Administer chemotherapy and manage complex medication drips including heparin and cardizem
• Monitor patients using ventilators and advanced hemodynamic equipment while delivering attentive, hands-on care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of PT/OT, case managers, social workers, and dietitians to support holistic patient recovery
• Float within similar levels of care to support unit needs and build versatile clinical skills
• Champion hourly rounding and patient experience initiatives that make a real difference in healing journeys

Qualifications

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of PCU or oncology experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and ONS/ONCC certifications required
• Chemotherapy administration experience strongly preferred
• Open to first-time travelers who are ready to learn and grow
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of Omaha and have no current employment with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities

Knowledge & Skills

• Chemotherapy administration and oncology nursing best practices
• Ventilator management and hemodynamic monitoring including CVP, A-line, Swan-Ganz, and EV-1000
• ICP monitoring and safe titration of drips such as insulin and cardizem
• EPIC electronic medical record system experience within the last 6 months is helpful but not required
• Strong teamwork, cultural sensitivity, and genuine compassion for diverse patient populations
