Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with varied start times including 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM; occasional weekend shifts may be required with a compensatory day off during the week

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional physical therapy services across acute care units including MedSurg, Telemetry, ICU, and specialty areas
Deliver hands-on care to diverse patient populations including orthopedic, oncology, and cardiac surgery patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and recovery plans
Treat ventilated patients in the ICU with specialized techniques and safety protocols
Support patients through total joint replacements and complex orthopedic procedures
Document care using Cerner EMR to ensure seamless communication across care teams

Qualifications

Active Physical Therapy license in California
Current BLS certification
Minimum 2 years of acute care physical therapy experience
Strong background in orthopedic and total joint rehabilitation
Experience working with ventilated patients in ICU settings
Comfortable treating a wide range of patient populations including oncology and cardiac surgery

Knowledge & Skills

Acute care physical therapy across multiple hospital units
Orthopedic rehabilitation and total joint protocols
ICU and ventilated patient management
Cerner EMR documentation
Cardiology and cardiac surgery patient care
Oncology rehabilitation approaches
MedSurg patient assessment and treatment
