Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias to keep patients safe
- Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath recovery
- Collaborate with the care team on total joint replacement and stroke recovery patients
- Float to East Campus or PCU when needed to support the broader hospital team
- Document assessments and interventions accurately in Cerner with minimal orientation time
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to pass the dysrhythmia exam with 80% or higher within two attempts
- Experience reading basic telemetry strips and some exposure to CVA/TIA patients
- Cerner experience recommended due to one-shift orientation
- Total joint replacement experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
- Comfort with set-rate drips such as Diltiazem/Cardizem
- Strong assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with charge nurses and CNAs
- Flexibility to float between units and campuses
