Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse PCU/IMC patient population including cardiac, neuro, oncology, renal, surgical, and trauma patients
• Titrate and manage critical drips such as dopamine, dobutamine, cardizem, amiodarone, heparin, insulin, and ativan with confidence
• Float across multiple PCU/IMC units within Zone 5, adapting quickly to different specialties and acuity levels
• Collaborate with charge nurses, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes
• Step into ICU holds and med-surg tele units when needed, using your skillset to fill gaps and support the team
• Document accurately in Epic and maintain high standards of patient safety and evidence-based practice

Qualifications

• Active RN license (BSN not required - we welcome ADN nurses too!)
• Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMC experience is a must
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA preferred)
• Comfortable titrating and managing cardiac drips, insulin, ativan, and heparin
• Prior neuro experience and Epic charting experience are preferred
• Ability to float within a 60-mile radius and adapt to different unit cultures

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical thinking and ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Expertise in cardiac drip titration and medication management
• Flexible and resilient when floating across different specialties
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficient with Epic Electronic Health Record system
• Comfortable caring for adult and geriatric populations with complex diagnoses
