Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and oral health assessments
• Provide personalized patient education on oral hygiene and preventive care
• Take and develop dental x-rays with precision and care
• Assist dentists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and comfortable patient experience
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Sterilize instruments and prepare the operatory for each patient
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver exceptional care, especially for pediatric patients

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Maryland
• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine passion for patient care and education

Knowledge & Skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Expertise in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Skill in patient education and a gentle chairside manner
• Familiarity with dental software and charting systems
• Ability to build rapport with children and anxious patients
