Roles & Responsibilities

• Triage and assess patients of all ages presenting in the Emergency Department
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions with speed and precision
• Collaborate with a dynamic team of physicians, EMTs, and paramedics to stabilize critical patients
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC
• Respond to medical emergencies and life-threatening situations with confidence
• Provide compassionate care and clear communication to patients and families during stressful moments

Qualifications

• Current RN license (or compact license) - required at submittal
• 2+ years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Driver's license required for radius rule verification
• Comfort working with EPIC charting system
• Must pass an open-book skills exam during orientation (90% to pass)

Knowledge & Skills

• Emergency nursing expertise, including triage, trauma, and cardiac care
• Knowledge of ACLS and PALS protocols
• Proficiency in EPIC electronic health records
• Strong critical thinking and adaptability in high-pressure situations
• Ability to work collaboratively in a Level 2 Trauma Center
• Excellent communication and patient advocacy skills
