Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during exams and procedures, ensuring a smooth patient experience
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, keeping the operatory clean and ready
• Take dental impressions, X-rays, and intraoral photos as needed
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and orthodontic care in a friendly, encouraging way
• Manage patient records and digital charting using Denticon
• Support orthodontic treatments by handing instruments and anticipating provider needs

Qualifications

• Must hold an active orthodontic certification
• Prior dental assisting experience, ideally in orthodontics
• Experience with Denticon practice management software
• Strong communication skills and a patient-first attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Orthodontic procedures, brackets, wires, and aligner fittings
• Dental terminology and chairside assisting techniques
• Denticon software for scheduling, charting, and patient records
• Infection control and sterilization best practices
• Patient education and compassionate communication
• Team collaboration and multitasking in a clinical setting
