Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform thorough dental cleanings and scaling to maintain patient oral health
• Take and develop dental x-rays to assist in accurate diagnosis
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
• Record patient medical and dental histories, updating charts as needed
• Assist the dentist during procedures by preparing instruments and materials
• Maintain sterilization and infection control standards to ensure a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in New York State
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Strong communication skills to interact with patients and team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical setting with attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of dental hygiene procedures and best practices
• Skill in patient education and building rapport
• Proficiency in taking and interpreting dental radiographs
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
