Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-acuity care to adult patients on a busy 40-bed PCU unit
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, manage titratable drips, and respond swiftly to changing patient conditions
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent outcomes for cardiac, vascular, renal, and respiratory patients
- Float to Med-Surg or ICU when needed, adapting quickly to support unit goals
- Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear medication education, and a healing environment
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Competency managing arterial lines and titratable drips
- Strong telemetry interpretation skills
- Ability to arrive within 30 minutes if called in from on-call status
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Titration of Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
- Arterial line management
- High-flow oxygen systems
- Patient education and clear communication
- Flexibility to float and adapt to different patient populations
