Roles & Responsibilities

• Circulate for a variety of surgical procedures including urology, vascular, orthopedics, pain management, spine, eyes, and plastics
• Ensure the operating room is fully prepared with necessary supplies and equipment
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative journey
• Document intraoperative care accurately and collaborate seamlessly with the surgical team
• Maintain aseptic technique and respond quickly to the dynamic needs of the OR

Qualifications

• Active state nursing license required
• Peri-Op 101 Certification required
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Minimum 7 years of OR circulating experience
• Independently proficient in urology, vascular, orthopedics, pain management, spine, eyes, and plastics service lines

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in perioperative nursing and aseptic technique
• Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and staff across multiple specialties
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills in fast-paced OR environments
• Proficiency with surgical instrumentation and equipment
• Compassionate patient advocacy and meticulous documentation skills
