Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and provide emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population in a fast-paced Trauma Level III/IV environment
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to manage patients with conditions such as abdominal pain, NSTEMI, stroke, trauma, and pneumonia
• Perform triage, point-of-care testing, and interpret telemetry strips to monitor patient status
• Administer medications and standard ER drips, quickly responding to changes in patient condition
• Float across multiple ERs within Zone 1, adapting seamlessly to different facility protocols and teams
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Colorado or compact license (NLC) required
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Ability to float across multiple facilities within a 60-mile radius
• Must be available for every other weekend and 12-hour evening/night shifts

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in EPIC charting system
• Strong telemetry interpretation skills
• Experience with point-of-care testing
• Excellent critical thinking and adaptability in dynamic environments
