Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional preventive dental care including cleanings, scaling, and polishing
• Educate patients on oral hygiene best practices and personalized home care routines
• Take and develop dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning
• Document patient care accurately and maintain detailed clinical records
• Collaborate with dentists to deliver comprehensive treatment plans
• Ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for every patient

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Experience in clinical dental hygiene with a gentle, patient-focused approach
• Strong communication skills and a passion for patient education
• Ability to work collaboratively with the dental team

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental prophylaxis, periodontal therapy, and radiography
• Skill in using dental software and digital imaging systems
• Understanding of infection control and OSHA standards
• Excellent interpersonal skills for connecting with patients
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise clinical work
