Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dental hygiene care to patients
• Perform professional teeth cleanings and periodontal therapy
• Take and interpret dental x-rays as needed
• Document patient care and update dental records
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, ensuring a safe environment

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in Virginia
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Previous experience in clinical dental hygiene is a plus
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of dental hygiene practices and procedures
• Proficiency in taking and processing dental x-rays
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization protocols
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity
• Ability to use dental software and electronic records
