Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, family-centered care to critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU
• Monitor and assess neonatal patients, including ventilator management and emergency response
• Administer medications, IV placement, and neonatal abstinence scoring
• Collaborate with neonatologists and NNP team to develop and implement care plans
• Educate and support families through stressful hospitalizations, narrating care and involving them in decision-making
• Assist with bedside procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and chest tube insertion

Qualifications

• 2+ years of NICU experience, preferably in a Level III unit
• Active RN license in Utah or compact state
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, STABLE, and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends, and on-call
• No new graduates please

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in neonatal resuscitation and emergency response
• Proficient in IV placement and neonatal abstinence scoring
• Knowledge of hypoglycemia management and ROP exams
• Experience with Meditech documentation and paper flow sheets
• Strong communication skills to interact with families and physicians
