Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to assigned patients during overnight shifts
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient status, intervening when changes occur
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to policy
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to coordinate care plans
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
• Educate patients and families with clear, empathetic communication to support recovery
• Prioritize and triage tasks during high-acuity periods to maintain patient safety

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for practice in California
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; ACLS or other advanced certifications preferred when applicable
• Per-diem mindset with the ability to work overnight 12-hour shifts
• Strong clinical assessment skills and sound critical thinking
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative care team
• Professional communication skills and reliable documentation practices

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of inpatient nursing standards and best practices
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and accurate charting
• Excellent patient education and bedside manner
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Teamwork and clear handoff communication skills
