Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for MST patients
- Perform thorough assessments and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care
- Document clinical findings and interventions clearly in the EHR
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up
- Advocate for patient safety, infection control, and high-quality outcomes
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California or compact license as applicable
- Experience or familiarity with MST specialty care (preferred)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced certifications (ACLS) a plus
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and documentation skills
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet credentialing requirements
- Comfort working independently on per-diem assignments and as part of a team
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical assessment and patient monitoring
- Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
- Electronic health record (EHR) documentation
- Patient and family education techniques
- Triage, time management, and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Interdisciplinary communication and teamwork
