Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for MST-designated patients
• Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized nursing interventions
• Administer medications, monitor responses, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate safe transitions of care
• Respond to emergencies and escalate concerns promptly according to policy
• Maintain accurate, timely electronic documentation and handoffs
• Advocate for patient needs and deliver trauma-informed care with sensitivity

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California required
• Experience caring for patients with MST designation or trauma-informed care experience preferred
• BLS required; ACLS or other advanced certifications a plus
• Comfortable and confident delivering overnight nursing care in a fast-paced setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to pass required background checks and meet organizational onboarding requirements

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
• Familiarity with trauma-informed approaches and sensitivity around MST issues
• Effective documentation practices and comfort using electronic medical records
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond to emergencies calmly
• Patient advocacy and strong interpersonal skills for diverse populations
