Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patient condition during overnight shifts to ensure safety and continuity of care
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and transitions
Respond to acute changes in patient status and escalate per protocol
Provide compassionate education and support to patients and families
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and handoffs

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California (or compact license where applicable)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS or PALS as required/preferred by unit
Previous acute care or medical-surgical experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and prioritization skills for overnight coverage
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to work independently during night shifts and follow established protocols

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Solid clinical assessment and patient monitoring skills
Medication administration and documentation best practices
Familiarity with electronic health records and accurate charting
Infection control and patient safety principles
Effective triage and escalation of urgent issues
Teamwork and clear handoff communication
