Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM and 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, every 3rd weekend and 3rd holiday

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Admit, discharge, and transfer patients across MedSurg and ER units
Titrate critical medications including insulin, amiodarone, cardizem, and levophed
Start IVs and manage PICC lines and ports with confidence
Respond swiftly to codes including cardiorespiratory, stroke, and sepsis situations
Provide trauma response and stabilize patients for higher-level care transfers
Float between the 9-bed MedSurg unit and 3-bay ER as needed
Read and interpret your own telemetry strips using Mindray monitors
Perform EKGs and manage respiratory equipment including BiPAP and high flow
Collaborate directly with hospitalists in a close-knit, independent setting

Qualifications

Active RN license in Minnesota or compact state
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
Minimum one year of ER experience strongly preferred
Comfortable working independently with minimal staffing support
Experience with Meditech EMR and Hamilton T1 ventilator preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making abilities
Proficiency in titrating drips and managing ventilated patients
Ability to handle both swing-bed rehab and acute trauma cases
Excellent communication skills for direct hospitalist collaboration
Adaptability to float between MedSurg and ER seamlessly
