Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-31-2026

End Date: 08-30-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert physical therapy care to 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for diverse patient populations including post-surgical, orthopedic, and neurological cases
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document patient progress and adjust interventions to maximize functional outcomes
Mentor and guide patients through their rehabilitation journey with compassion and expertise

Qualifications

Current California PT license required
BLS certification required
Acute inpatient physical therapy experience essential
Strong clinical skills in treating general medical, orthopedic, and neurological patients

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient rehabilitation expertise
Experience with post-surgical and neurological patient populations
Ability to work independently across multiple hospital departments
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Comfort working in fast-paced acute care environments
