Location: Bakersfield, California

Start Date: 05-31-2026

End Date: 08-30-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM with occasional 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM shifts, one weekend every third weekend with Monday and Friday off

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat 12+ patients daily across medical-surgical, ICU, and ER units
Develop personalized treatment plans for general medical, post-surgical, and neurological patients
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient recovery and discharge planning
Document progress and adjust interventions to help patients regain independence
Mentor and guide rehab aides while maintaining high standards of care

Qualifications

Active California PT license required
BLS certification
Acute Inpatient PT experience
Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills

Knowledge & Skills

Acute inpatient physical therapy techniques
Post-operative joint replacement protocols
Stroke rehabilitation approaches
Medical-surgical patient management
Electronic medical record documentation
