Location: Canon City, Colorado

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating day and night shifts, self-scheduling with balanced schedule provided to manager, 3 weekends in a 6-week schedule, rotating holidays, call requirement based on census

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $75 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive LDRP environment
Monitor and titrate critical drips including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and D10
Collaborate with a close-knit team to ensure safe deliveries and positive birth experiences
Read and interpret fetal monitoring strips using the OBIX system
Support patients with high BMI, diabetes, and substance use needs with empathy and expertise
Float within Zone 1 facilities when needed to support fellow departments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM, and STABLE certifications required
LDRP experience strongly preferred
Ability to titrate drips and manage high-risk obstetric patients

Knowledge & Skills

Strong fetal monitoring interpretation skills
Experience with bubble CPAP and OBIX EFM system
Comfortable working with minimal support staff and taking call as needed
Flexible and team-oriented approach to floating within the zone
